Taecanet at The West Midlands Technolgy Show 13th/14th June 2007
We have just recently returned from the 'West Midlands Education Technology Show' at the National Motorcycle Museum, near Birmingham. Despite a severe lack of attendees, it was very nice to meet up with a number of local teachers, and discuss their take on elearning. The exhibitors must have outnumbered attendees by about 20/1, but it must have been a very useful exercise for the teachers, to get a really in-depth look at 'what's new' and exciting in elearning.
There were many talks going on over the last two days, detailing how to make best use of interactive whiteboards in the classroom, and how to provide personalised learning to pupils by harnessing modern technologies. This is an area in which we have significant expertise, and this was proved by the level of interest that we received. To that end, I would like to welcome Daw End School, and Dudley Home and Hospital Tuition Service into the Taecanet Community. We very much look forward to working alongside you, in order to help raise standards. Both of these institutions saw Taecanet as an affordable and easy way of delivering personalised learning to their students, no matter what their location. This is one of the huge benefits afforded by online learning, as we can deliver high quality educational content to students anytime....anywhere. Many thanks to everyone who attended the stand for your interest, and special thanks to those listed above for the significant trust that you have shown in signing up to our service.
We are currently doing a lot of work in the local area, and are working with over 100 schools in the West Midlands area, so please contact sue.waller@taecanet.com if you would like to arrange a free demonstration for your staff. I hope we will see all of you again soon.
